I’m gonna try somethin’ interesting here!
So I was browsing the Internet, mindind my own business where a fairly humble ad managed to catch my eye. It was a MMORPG offering a free membership to play their new and exciting game! All anime-clad, bright eyed and korean-looking, I took the ‘bait.’ I looked around their website and noticed it wasn’t a 3D MMORPG, which was a big relief, so I was more interested than before. I saw a couple of screenshots, it looked pretty nice. It didn’t try to be a large-yet-empty world (I hope), it just looked small and made good with it. For the most part, it looks similar to Pirate King Online; not a necessarily bad game, but it did ware out its interest relatively quick for me and the few buddies I played with.
Quickly noting: I am playing for the sake of a review once complete (or until I get sick of it. but seriously, if that happens, is there really much more you need?). In an interesting turn of events, I have no idea what this game is about, the classes, the ideas, the worlds, the combat, NOTHING. I’m coming in absolutely blinded with no expectations of greatness, but I’m not expecting anything awful of it. It’s still in Beta, so I can’t judge too harshly — however, it’s an free MMORPG. These things usually remain in Beta for years, or never release, period. The only expectation I hold is, not that it has everything and does it well, but that it has what it was, and does that well.
